NEW — Vision Plan with EyeMed Vision Care

Emory is partnering with EyeMed Vision Care to offer you a new voluntary Vision Plan which includes routine eye exams and equipment (lenses, frames, contacts, etc.). EyeMed Vision Care offers a large network of providers including the Emory Eye Center, as well as many private practioners and large name retail locations such as LensCrafters, Pearle Vision, Sears Optical, Target Optical, and more.   • Routine Annual Eye Exams - $0 co-pay
  • Single, Bifocal, Trifocal, Lenticular lenses — $0 co-pay
  • Standard Progressive Lenses — $65 co-pay
  • Frames — up to a $150 allowance
  • Contact Lenses (Conventional & Disposable) — up to $200 allowance (includes exam and fitting)
  • Benefits are provided once every 12 months
  • Very affordable rates

The medical plan offers one exam per calendar year at an optometrist or ophthalmologist.

Emory Eye Center

In addition, all Emory Faculty and Staff and their immediate family members are eligible to receive services and discounts at the Emory Eye Center. Participation in an Emory sponsored medical plan is not required to receive the discount.

Emory employees not covered by an Emory medical plan pay $176.
• Employees covered under the Aetna POS Plus or Aetna POS Value plan pay the $0 co-pay. (exam considered preventive care).
• Employees covered under the Aetna HDHP Medical plan w/HSA pay $0 (exam considered
preventive care).
Discounted Eyeglass
Packages

25% discount on eyewear, including basic frames and lenses at a range of competitive prices. Outside prescriptions will be accepted if less than one year old.
Contact Lenses

10% discount on most disposable contact lenses. Discount valid only with an examination by an Emory Eye Center provider.
Fitting

$75 - $150 (depending upon complexity).
LASIK Surgery

25% discount for refractive surgery at Emory Laser Vision. Call 404-778-2SEE to schedule an appointment.
