LEAVING EMORY

When the time comes to leave employment at Emory, whether it's for retirement, changing jobs, or another reason, the following resources and information will help you manage the transition.

arrow  RESIGNATION:

To resign from a position in good standing, an employee is expected to give at least two-weeks notice in writing. For certain key positions, additional notice may be expected.

arrow  INVOLUNTARY TERMINATION:

Involuntary termination is termination for cause as determined by the employer.

arrow  RETIREMENT:

If  eligibility requirements are met, an employee can retire from Emory. For information on retiring, view Retiree Benefits.

arrow  EXIT INTERVIEW SURVEY

Emory values the input of its employees and seeks formal feedback from separating employees through exit interviews. As part of the exit process, employees will be asked to complete an Exit Interview Survey Questionnaire and will be given the opportunity to discuss their work experience at Emory. Human Resources will also mail an exit questionnaire along with the separation notice.
