Update Home Address, Phone Number, or Emergency Contact Information

Employees are required to notify Data Services of changes in address, phone number, emergency contact information or change of name or gender. Departmental Human Resources Representatives are required to notify Data Services of any other changes to employment or job information for an employee.

How to Change Your Information

University employees need to notify Data Services as soon as possible after a change in the home address or phone number for themselves or their emergency contact. Use one of the following methods:

  • Current employees of Emory University may use the Employee Self Service. Review the Guide to Self Service if you need assistance.
  • Send an email to Data Services MZippy mailbox. Provide your full legal name and your seven-digit Employee ID (as it appears on your pay stub or pay advice) so Data Services can make the changes to the correct record. Due to the volume of messages sent to the mzippy mailbox, Data Services checks the messages and enters the changes every day; NO REPLY MAIL is sent.
  • Complete a Personal Information Change Form.
  • Human Resources Representatives with access to Emory HR Web may enter these changes for an employee.

Local and Permanent Address

There are two addresses for most employees in the HR system: a local address and a permanent address. The permanent address is used for mailing your W-2 Form. Be sure to specify if your address update applies to both addresses!

Emory Healthcare employees should contact Emory Healthcare HR contacts with changes to personal data.

Students employees should also update home addresses and phone numbers on OPUS.
