You can only use your FSA for qualified medical or dependent day care expenses.  A detailed listing of qualified expenses for both FSAs is available through the following IRS publications:

KEEP ALL OF YOUR RECEIPTS

Keep all receipts even if you use the debit card (PayFlex Card). They may be required for verification of expenses.

Over-The-Counter (OTC) drugs and medicines now require a prescription to be eligible for reimbursement under the Healthcare FSA. OTC purchases of other medical supplies will require you to submit your receipt to document your expenses.

REMEMBER: USE IT OR LOSE IT

You will be able to use any balance remaining in your Healthcare FSA at the end of the year to pay for expenses incurred through March 15 of the next year. Any funds not used by March 15 will be forfeited. Reimbursement requests must be filed by May 15.

For your Dependent Day Care FSA, all expenses must be incurred by December 31 and claims must be filed no later than March 31 of the following year.
