Submit a Nomination for the International Awards
Each year, the Office of Global Strategy and Initiatives presents three international awards to honor the achievements of our distinguished international alumni and the dedication of our faculty and staff to furthering Emory’s global engagement. The deadline for nominations is Friday, June 16, 2017.
- The Sheth Distinguished International Alumni Award, established by a generous gift from Madhu and Jagdish Sheth, Charles H. Kellstadt Professor of Marketing, seeks to recognize Emory University’s international alumni who are highly distinguished either nationally or internationally in their business, profession, or life’s work and who have made outstanding contributions to humanity, science, art, or human welfare.
- The Marion V. Creekmore Award for Internationalization is given each year to an Emory faculty member who excels in the advancement of the University’s commitment to internationalization. The award was established by the generous gift of Claus M. Halle and honors the work of Marion V. Creekmore, who served as Emory University’s inaugural vice provost for international affairs and first director of The Claus M. Halle Institute for Global Learning.
- The International Outreach Award was created in 2012 to recognize professional staff who have made significant contributions to Emory’s internationalization through the programs, schools, and units in which they serve, and who also extend Emory’s reputation by contributing their expertise to international professional networks in their respective fields of research, teaching, and higher education.
