Sole-to-Soul Part II: Haiti Relief - Donate Money and Gently Worn Shoes
In response to the Haitian earthquake disaster, the Office of Information Technology (OIT) is launching a challenge campaign with Atlantic Southeastern Airlines (ASA) and the non-profit Soles4Souls to raise funds and collect gently worn clean shoes for Haitian relief. This effort is coordinated by Hans Sarju of OIT.
You can suppport this effort through monetary donations (cash or checks payable to: Soles 4 Souls) and the donation of gently worn clean shoes. Please donate $1 for each clean shoe, $2 per pair of clean gently worn shoes. The money goes toward the shipping and handling of the clean shoes collected and to purchase basic sandals. With $100 Soles 4 Souls can buy 40 basic sandals for those in need.
The collection will run from today, through Wednesday, February 10. The effort is open to all members of Emory University and Emory Healthcare community.
