Staff Fest 2010 - May 14

Staff Fest is a special event for Emory University employees and administrators on the first Friday after commencement. Emory’s leadership supports Staff Fest as a way to recognize staff for their contributions throughout the year.

This year's celebration will be held on Friday, May 14 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on the Quad. The day will kick off with the Fun Run/Fun Walk at Lullwater in the morning followed by the Volleyball Tournament and a DJ in the afternoon. Staff Fest will provide an opportunity for you to learn more about Emory University through Emory Information Central. Additionally, employees can bring non-perishable food items to Staff Fest 2010 and donate them to the Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB).

Light refreshments (popcorn, ice cream, frozen fruit bars, smoothies, a variety of trail mixes and assorted beverages) will be served. The rain location for refreshments only will be the DUC Lower Level Terrace.

The Employee Council and Volunteer Emory will also present Staff Fest Service Day, an opportunity for Emory employees to volunteer. All projects run from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday, May 14, to allow volunteers time to get back and enjoy the afternoon’s Staff Fest activities. A variety of service projects will be available, such as gardening, painting & donation sorting. Transportation will be provided. More information on the projects will be forthcoming.
