Changes to Performance Management for FY2014
Over the past two years, the Human Resources Department has been working directly with faculty and staff leaders from several schools and divisions to design and develop a new system for performance management that is more closely aligned with Emory’s mission and values. After much planning and feedback, we are ready to begin rolling out the new system for FY14 which will include:
- new performance competencies
- a new rating scale
- a convenient online tool for completing performance appraisals through Self-Service/PeopleSoft (no more paper forms).
All Emory University employees will be evaluated on the new performance competencies starting in FY14 (for the evaluation period of Sept. 1, 2013-Aug. 30, 2014). Please note that for FY13 performance evaluations, managers will continue to use the current system that we have in place.
This fall, HR will offer a series of training sessions to further the understanding of the new competencies and ratings. Sessions for managers will begin in October followed by training for employees (direct reports). More details, dates and registration will be announced soon. |
