Emory University Recognized with Health at Work Award
For the second year in a row, Emory University has been recognized as a Silver winner of the Health at Work Award, sponsored by ComPsych, which honors organizations who promote employee health and wellness. Winners were selected for the comprehensiveness, delivery, promotion, participation and overall results of their wellness program.
“We applaud Emory for promoting health and wellness and improving the lives of employees,” said Dr. Richard A. Chaifetz, Chairman and CEO of ComPsych.
Melissa Morgan, Interim Manager of Wellness Programs for the Faculty Staff Assistance Program (FSAP), attributes Emory’s abundance of wellness programs to the receipt of this award. “Emory has a number of excellent programs in place to help our faculty and staff live healthy, from personalized coaching on nutrition and fitness to wellness fairs, StressBreaks and workshops on Self-Care and Managing Change.”
“With the hectic pace of life and work as well as the stress of the economy, it is important for our Emory colleagues to take advantage of the valuable services and resources available through the FSAP to support taking charge of one’s health and wellbeing,” states Dr. Paula G. Gomes, FSAP Director.
