Helping Someone You Care About with An Alcohol Problem
Do you want to understand why some people can control their drinking and others struggle? Are you concerned that someone you care about may have a drinking problem?
In this interactive workshop, participants will identify and practice ways to intervene effectively and compassionately with a friend, co-worker, or family member who exhibits signs of problematic drinking.
Co-sponsored by FSAP and Student Health, Office of Health Education & Promotion, the workshop is open to all Emory faculty, staff and students. October 23, 2012, 11:45 a.m. - 1:15 p.m., Claudia Nance Rollins Building, Room 6001. Lunch is provided and will be available beginning at 11:30 a.m.
