PCSW Accepting Nominations for Annual Awards
The President's Commission on the Status of Women (PCSW) has issued the announcement of their annual awards and is seeking nominations. Four awards are given:
Award for Gender Diversity in Academics
This award honors a department or school that demonstrates outstanding commitment to increasing gender diversity in the field and supports participation of under-represented gender groups. Past recipients include the Computer Science department and the Goizueta Business School.
Award for Relational Mentoring
This award honors success in leadership in the context of a mentoring relationship between a student, faculty member or staff member and a more senior student, faculty member or staff member in any part of Emory University. All mentoring combinations are possible, but at least one member of the pair must be female.
Student Writing Awards (2)
The PCSW annual writing awards are designed to highlight and celebrate outstanding student scholarship on issues of importance to women. The competition is open to undergraduate, graduate, and professional school student papers that relate to women's issues, gender or feminist theory.
All nominations should be submitted to Nariscia Philip (nariscia.philip@emory.edu) by midnight on December 8th.
