MORE NEWS YOU CAN USE |
Change to Waiver of COVID-19 Treatment Cost-Share
Emory University medical plans have covered testing and treatment for COVID-19 at no cost-share to plan members to insure access to care during the COVID pandemic without financial stress. However, effective January 31, 2021, as vaccines administration begins; the following COVID-19 related treatments would no longer have a cost-share waiver. Applicable co-pay, deductible and co-insurance will apply to these services:
- In-patient admissions at all in-network and out-of-network facilities for treatment of COVID-19 or associated health complications.
- In-network outpatient behavioral and mental health telemedicine visits.
COVID-19 testing and associated doctor visits without cost sharing will continue in the medical plans as directed through federal mandates. |

Focus on Your Development in 2021
The FY21 performance management cycle began shortly before winter break. The first step in the process, the “start” step, is an opportunity for you to set any goals you and/or your Supervisor wish you to pursue. Please consider adding a developmental goal this year. An easy way to begin is to pursue some of the great, FREE training available through LinkedIn Learning! Pick some courses that will help you build the skills you need and take some time to develop yourself – all supervisors should support setting aside some time for personal development. Many LinkedIn learning courses are one hour or less and cover a wide variety of topics, from computer skills to communication. And of course, don’t forget the many opportunities available through Learning and OD! |

Emory’s Better Choice Label Is Here!
When it comes to eating, selecting the best nutritional option can be challenging. To take some of the guess work out of it, Emory diners can now simply look for the Better Choice label. Watch this video to learn how! Menu items marked with the Better Choice label include fresh produce, whole grains and lean or plant-based proteins. They are also lower in saturated fat, sodium, and added sugar. Even if a person chooses a Better Choice option only half of the time, it is still one step toward improving their overall health. |

Every time you enter an Emory dining facility, keep your eyes peeled for the Better Choice. Earn points towards your medical incentive dollars in Healthy Emory Connect by participating in Better Choice Campaign activities through February 14.
