Upcoming Workshops on “Behavioral Health Treatment of African Americans: Individuals, Children and Families”
Dr. Nancy Boyd-Franklin, Ph.D., a Distinguished Professor at Rutgers University and a nationally and internationally recognized lecturer, scholar, and practitioner will be presenting two workshops related to the behavioral health treatment of African American clients. She will highlight her research, framework for clinical engagement of individuals, children and families, as well as strategies for cross-cultural treatment. Updates to Emory Alcohol and Drug Policy
Federal regulations, including the Drug Free Workplace Act of 1988 and the Drug Free Schools and Communities Act, mandate that Emory maintain an Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Policy and distribute such policy to all students, faculty, and staff. Emory’s policy, along with resources, health risks of alcohol and drug abuse, and consequences of this abuse, may be found at http://policies.emory.edu/8.8. Emory PD Offering FREE Teen Driving Classes
P.R.I.D.E. is a free, two-hour course designed to help parents and their new teen drivers. Grief and Loss Support Group
This 6-session support group will provide information and support regarding the grief process, including the stages and emotional process of grief. Participants will have the opportunity to share personal challenges and learn new strategies for coping and creating meaning in life after the loss of a loved one. Download the flier. |
