In this presentation, elder law and estate planning attorney Paul Black will describe the common challenges faced by adults who are having to make care decisions for their aging parents even as they are still raising minor children of their own. Laura Medders, LCSW, will provide more information about dementia, the differences between Alzheimer's disease and other types of neurodegenerative diseases, and available treatments. Laura will also discuss resources in the Atlanta community and a unique clinic within the Emory system, the Integrated Memory Care Clinic, that strives to simplify and coordinate care, to provide increased access to experienced healthcare providers, and to provide high-quality care for people living with dementia.

Become a Green Office and Receive up to $5,000!
Green Offices at Emory is a voluntary program designed to assist Emory employees in improving the sustainability of Emory’s work spaces. Once certified, the office is eligible for up to $5,000 in funding through the Green Offices Incentives Fund for advancements in sustainable processes and procedures in the work place. Projects have included installment of hydration stations and the purchase of new office plants!
