Employee Health Screenings Help Motivate Lifestyle Changes
The "Know Your Numbers" health screenings held earlier this year at Emory University and Emory Healthcare provided more than 7,700 employees with important information about their health. The screenings, which measured key biometric numbers including blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose and body mass index, also served as a springboard to action for many employees. Learning and Organizational Development is conducting a University-wide Learning Needs Assessment Survey for all faculty and staff. This confidential, online survey is being offered to all faculty and staff, and it should take only 5-10 minutes of your time. The survey data will not disclose any individual identifying data. Did you know that the Blomeyer Health Fitness Center offers a FREE Group Exercise class each month for Emory faculty and staff? For the month of June, the featured class is Yoga-Lates! Strengthen, stretch, and tone your entire body in this unique class. This fusion of Pilates and Yoga combines the gentle stretch of Yoga with the functional toning of Pilates core exercises.

Performance Management Tools and Resources Available
Emory managers will be soon conducting and completing 2014 employee performance reviews using the new performance competencies, rating scale, and online tool in Self-Service/PeopleSoft. As part of this process, each employee will also complete a self-evaluation form online. To assist both managers and employees in using the new online tool, HR’s Learning and Organizational Development Department has developed several resources. Read more.
