The Move More Challenge is Emory’s first community-wide employee wellness event with the purpose of getting us all to move more! Using a Fitbit® device, you can track your daily steps and calories, set goals, and connect with others. As part of this challenge, you will also join your department’s team and compete against other Emory teams. It’s going to be a lot of fun! 5th Annual Winship Win the Fight 5K Set for October 3rd
Emory’s 2015 Winship 5K is scheduled for Saturday, October 3. Runners/walkers will start to arrive at 7:00 a.m. and the 5K run/walk will begin at 8:30 a.m. 3,000 people are expected to participate and there is a new route this year. Learn more. |

Emory University Woman's Club
The Emory University Woman's Club is beginning its year with a Fall Welcome at Lullwater House. They plan to gather Tuesday morning, 15th September for a lovely brunch from 10:00-12:00. Space is very limited. Should you think you might like to join in, please express your interest at euwc1919@gmail.com. Jackie Walker will respond in a timely fashion and it is hoped that you can be accommodated.
The first scheduled meeting is Tuesday, September 29th at the lower level of the Houston Mill House. The Speaker is Jim Auchmutey, author of "Class of '65: A Student, A Divided Town and the Long Road to Forgiveness." The group convenes from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. that day as well. Autographed copies of the book will be available.
The EUWC is a special organization for women interested in giving back to Emory and to the community. A lot is given as well as a lot is received in return. Many varied activities are offered throughout the year. A warm invitation is extended to anyone who thinks they might enjoy this group. |
