Winter Recess 2018
In acknowledgement of your commitment to Emory, and in recognition of the holiday season, the university is implementing a Winter Recess, an extended period of time off. Emory University offices will be closed on December 26, 27 and 28, 2018. These three Winter Recess days are in addition to the university’s regularly scheduled holidays of December 24, 25, 31 and January 1.

Coming Soon: A New Portal for Employee Health and Occupational Management
HOME (Health and Occupational Management at Emory) is a new portal that will be launched on Monday, December 10 for managing employee occupational health and safety at Emory University and Emory Healthcare. HOME supports the electronic clinical documentation of employee health and safety information and will be accessible from Self-Service > Workplace Health. Some key features of the new portal include:
- A self-scheduling tool for making your appointment with EHC’s Employee Health Services (for those university employees who are required to have certain health tests)
- Vaccine consents (for those university employees who are required to receive vaccines)
- After January 1, the new portal will also be used for reporting workplace work-related injury, illness or exposure
- After January 1, a self-scheduling tool will allow you to make your Express Care Clinic appointments

Get Your 2018 Tax Forms Online: Deadline to Sign Up is Wednesday, January 16, 2019
Don’t wait for your tax forms to arrive in the mail -- sign up now to receive them online! In order to receive your tax forms online, you must log on to Self-Service and consent to receive them electronically NO LATER THAN 5 p.m., Wednesday, January 16, 2019. If you have previously consented to receive your tax forms online, you do not need to do it again. View instructions. |

Emory Law Courses Offered to Emory Community
Are you interested in a Juris Master, a master’s degree in law, but want to try a law school course first? Emory Law is opening up two Spring 2019 courses to the Emory community (eligible employees receive courtesy scholarship):
- Introduction to the American Legal System covers the constitutional principles and governmental structures that shape the American legal system as well as the basic principles of legal reasoning.
- Higher Education Law exposes students to a range of administrative challenges at the post-secondary level that entails legal and ethical implications. This course helps current and prospective administrators envision the legal dimensions of collegiate-level decision processes.
