Know Your Numbers: Free Onsite Health Screenings
Coming January - February! |
Emory will offer free health screenings at over 80 locations across campus January 13 through February 28. These screenings will provide you with the opportunity to “know your numbers” (blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose and body mass index). You can also earn an incentive on your medical plan if you complete the screening and a take a health assessment (after Jan. 1). Spouses/same sex domestic partners can also participate!

Inclement Weather
With colder weather approaching, winter storms, impassable roads and power outages come to mind. This is a good time to review the Inclement Weather policy, http://policies.emory.edu/4.42. Do you know if your position is designated “essential” for the purposes of this policy? Even if you are not in an essential position, be sure that you understand your supervisor’s expectations for you during a weather closure. Double check your telecommuting capabilities and access. Make sure you understand how you will be paid. This is a good time to go through your unit’s procedures and communications during a weather emergency – before one happens.
