Performance Management Training For Non-Manager Employees
Emory University is transitioning to a new process for performance management for 2014. This involves new competencies, rating scale, and online performance evaluation forms (which will soon be available through Self-Service/PeopleSoft). The competencies and rating scale can be found on the Performance Management website.
To prepare Emory employees for these new changes, HR’s Learning and Organizational Development Department is offering several instructor-led classes for non-manager employees. (Classes have already been provided to managers). Employees are not required to attend the training class, but it is strongly recommended.
Some managers have already informed their direct reports of the new changes, and some departments are conducting their own training for their non-manager employees. Employees who have been trained by their manager or have access to training in their own department should not take this general enrollment class as it is the same material.
To register:
Register for the class, titled “Performance Management: New Competencies, New Perspectives (200687)” through Emory Learning Management System (ELMS), under “HR Policies & Procedures.” The class time is two (2)hours.
Classes are available at the following times:
- Wednesday, March 26, 2:00 – 4:00 pm
- Tuesday, April 1, 9:00 – 11:00 am
- Tuesday, April 8, 2:00 – 4:00 pm
Classes are filling up quickly, so register soon. If there is sufficient demand, more classes will be added. Online training will also be offered in the near future for those who cannot attend in-person training (for both manager and non-manager training). |
