Emory Recognized with LearningElite Award
HR's Learning and Organizational Development, a department of Human Resources, was presented with a 2013 LearningElite Award from Chief Learning Officer magazine at a gala dinner held in Austin, Texas. The peer-reviewed ranking and benchmarking award recognizes high-performing organizations that employ learning and development as a strategic tool for delivering significant business results. Emory ranked No. 23 in the competition from a field of more than 200 companies. Emory was, again, the only academic institution to receive the award.
“We are thrilled to receive this prestigious designation for a third year in a row,” says Wanda Hayes, director of Learning and Organizational Development. “The competition for this recognition was intense and it truly demonstrates that Emory’s programs are on par with the nation’s top corporate learning and development programs. Emory can be really proud of that.”
The LearningElite recognition is the only peer-based benchmarking initiative in the industry. The pioneering program utilizes best practices in evaluation to objectively assess both the scope and the value of the learning and development services that companies provide. It recognizes excellence in five key performance indicators: learning strategy, learning impact, leadership commitment, learning execution and business performance results.
