Goodbye Bright Ideas
Formally launched in November 2007, Bright Ideas was developed by one of the 2006 Excellence Through Leadership (ETL) teams to encourage faculty and staff to submit ideas that would help Emory save time, money or improve efficiencies. Since its inception, the Bright Ideas website captured over 400 submissions covering a wide range of areas.
However, the economic climate over the last 18 months resulted in Emory conducting a system-wide review by all divisions and departments to generate recommendations that would improve processes as well as help Emory save money and time. Faculty, staff, and students are now actively engaged in other established avenues across campus, such as the IT Governance process and the PACE project initiatives, and not contributing as many ideas through Bright Ideas.
Therefore the Bright Ideas program will be retired as of September 1, 2010, so that faculty and staff can continue to channel their energy and ideation into other avenues. While the web site may not be available for you to submit your ideas, you are encouraged to continue thinking about ways to help improve Emory and share those ideas with your co-workers and manager.
Thank you for all that you do to make Emory a great place to work! Return to News You Can Use
