Blomeyer Health Fitness Center Celebrates Makeover
Closed for renovations since December 20, the Blomeyer Health Fitness Center reopened January 3 with all new carpeting and paint. The Emory Caregiver Support Program announces new workshops to support working family caregivers. The series runs from January through May. Common Misunderstandings About FMLA
The Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) allows eligible employees to take up to 12 workweeks of unpaid, job-protected leave for specified family and medical reasons. However, it does NOT provide salary while you are absent. Your accrued sick leave (followed by accrued vacation leave upon your request) will maintain your salary while you are out on FMLA. Also, employees cannot waive their rights under FMLA. If your absence qualifies for FMLA, your supervisor, with Employee Relations assistance, must observe and apply this law.
