Winter Recess 2018
In acknowledgement of your commitment to Emory, and in recognition of the holiday season, the university is implementing a Winter Recess, an extended period of time off. Emory University offices will be closed on December 26, 27 and 28, 2018. These three Winter Recess days are in addition to the regularly scheduled holidays of December 24, 25, 31 and January 1.

2019 Incentives
You can now start earning points on Healthy Emory Connect for your 2019 incentives! On the Healthy Connect platform, you'll see new level thresholds and rewards.
Healthy Emory Connect Levels, points, & rewards:

• Level 1: 5,000 points, $25 Emory Medical Plan Incentive
• Level 2: 20,000 points, $75 Emory Medical Plan Incentive
• Level 3: 45,000 points, $125 Emory Medical Plan Incentive
• Level 4: 75,000 points, $125 Emory Medical Plan Incentive

Start earning your points today to apply toward your 2019 medical plan incentives! PLEASE NOTE: You now have 12 months to make your way through the levels. Any incentive activities completed between November 16, 2018 and January 1, 2019 will not be posted to Aetna until after January 1, 2019
You can also receive medical plan incentives for the following activities in 2019:

• Completing your Health Risk Assessment: $25
• Completing a Biometric Screening: $75
• Completing the Diabetes Prevention Program: Up to $200

New Portal for Employee Health and Occupational Management is Launched
HOME (Health and Occupational Management at Emory) has launched. HOME is a new portal for managing employee occupational health and safety at Emory University and Emory Healthcare. HOME supports the electronic clinical documentation of employee health and safety information and can now be accessed from Self-Service > Workplace Health. Some key features of the new portal include:

• A self-scheduling tool for making your appointment with EHC’s Employee Health Services (for those university employees who are required to have certain health tests)
• Vaccine consents (for those university employees who are required to receive vaccines)
• After January 1, the new portal will also be used for reporting workplace work-related injury, illness or exposure
• After January 1, a self-scheduling tool will allow you to make your Express Care Clinic appointments

Get Your 2018 Tax Forms Online: Deadline to Sign Up is Wednesday, January 16, 2019
Don’t wait for your tax forms to arrive in the mail -- sign up now to receive them online! In order to receive your tax forms online, you must log on to Self-Service and consent to receive them electronically NO LATER THAN 5 p.m., Wednesday, January 16, 2019. If you have previously consented to receive your tax forms online, you do not need to do it again. View instructions.

Getting an annual flu vaccine is the first and best way to protect yourself and your family from the flu. Emory Faculty and staff who are on the Emory medical plan (and their covered dependents) can receive a free flu vaccine. Learn more.

BPI Scholars Applications Now Open for 2019
Applications are now being accepted for the Business Practice Improvement (BPI) Scholars program, a professional development program that teaches project management, analytical and leadership skills to early and mid-career Emory professionals. Applications and supporting sponsorship materials are due Friday, January 11 for the class starting in March 2019. Learn more.
