Healthy Rewards and Incentives
To encourage you to take an active role in your health and well-being, Emory provides financial incentives for your participation in healthy activities.
2024 Incentives and Rewards
Medical Plan Well-being Incentives
To receive medical plan well-being incentives, you must be a current Emory University or Emory Healthcare employee, spouse, or pre-65 retiree enrolled in an Emory medical plan.
Incentives are earned through Healthy Emory Connect, Emory's personalized web platform and mobile app offered by Sharecare.
Incentives are applied to your medical plan:
- Aetna HSA Members: You will get a deposit into your Health Savings Account (HSA). If you should decide to move to a different medical plan, any unused funds will remain in your HSA account. Visit your member portal.
- Aetna POS Members: You will get a credit toward your deductible or co-insurance. Incentives can’t be used for co-pays. If you should decide to move to a different medical plan, any unused funds will be forfeited at the end of the calendar year. Visit your member portal.
- Kaiser Permanente Members: Your incentives will be added to your Kaiser Permanente Health Reimbursement Arrangement (KP HRA) and can be used towards your medical and pharmacy co-pays. If you move to a different medical plan, any unused funds will be forfeited at the end of the calendar year.
Please allow up to 8 weeks (2 months) to receive your incentive.
Rewards for Benefits-eligible employees not on an Emory Medical Plan
If you are a benefits-eligible employee who is not on an Emory medical plan, you can still access the Healthy Emory Connect platform and participate in programs, campaigns, and activities.
You cannot receive the medical plan well-being incentives, but you can be entered into a raffle drawing for a chance to win a variety of prizes (see chart below).

January 1 - November 15, 2024 | Annual Preventive Wellness Exam Complete your annual preventive wellness exam (well adult or well woman) with your physician. | $50 Available to employees and spouses on an Emory medical plan | None — only employees and spouses enrolled in an Emory medical plan can participate. February & September 2024 Registration opens January 9 for the spring and August 5 for the fall | Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) Core Phase DPP is a one-year program for individuals at high risk of developing diabetes. To participate, you must meet certain eligibility criteria. DPP has two phases: the core phase and the post-core phase. The core phase is the initial 6-months during which a minimum of 16 weekly sessions are offered. | $100 Available to employees and spouses on an Emory medical plan | None — only employees and spouses enrolled in an Emory medical plan can participate. |

February 5 - March 31, 2024 Join the campaign starting January 29 | Participate in this campaign offered through Healthy Emory Connect to balance your nutrition. April 15 - May 26, 2024 Join the campaign starting April 3 | Have fun moving more, tracking your physical activity, and competing with your co-workers with Move More offered through Healthy Emory Connect. June 24 - August 4, 2024 Join the campaign starting June 17 | In this campaign, you'll focus on your sleep and improve your mental and physical health by tracking your sleep during the Get Enough Sleep Challenge. Record your progress on Healthy Emory Connect and read four articles to learn more about how sleep affects your overall well-being. | $75 Available to employees and spouses on an Emory medical plan | Complete all activities and earn a raffle entry for a chance to win one of the following:
