Go red in February for American Heart Month and get heart healthy with a variety of events! View the schedule of activities below and take the right steps for a healthy heart!
Friday, February 1:
National Wear Red Day
Wear something red – shirt, socks, jewelry, etc. – on Friday and show your support for healthy hearts!
Saint Joseph’s Hospital employees, if you are wearing red on Friday, meet in the atrium at 8 a.m. for a group photo. Then, stop by the atrium between 8:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. for other Wear Red Day activities, such as cooking demos, consultations with a nutritionist, and gym, food and jewelry vendors! Saturday, February 9:
Emory HeartWiseSM Prevention Bootcamp
Time: 8:15 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.; Registration starts at 7:30 a.m. with continental breakfast
Location: Emory Conference Center Hotel, 1615 Clifton Road, NE, Atlanta, GA 30322
Cost: $25, which covers the cost of the educational program, handouts, parking, breakfast and lunch.

This exciting event focuses on how to manage and lower risk factors associated with heart disease and stroke. Over the course of the full-day program, there will be breakout sessions on nutrition, women and heart disease, foot care, cooking demonstrations, yoga, stretching, healthy weight loss and starting an exercise program. Physicians and health care providers from across EHC will host the lectures in this informative session.

Women’s Heart Disease Event
EUH Auditorium: 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
EUHM Glenn Auditorium: 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Stop by the women’s health fair Friday, February 22, to learn more about heart disease in women. Short, 10-minute session will discuss risk factors, symptoms and prevention of cardiac disease for women.
