Carlos Museum Closes Caffè Antico
For 20 years, Caffè Antico has been a campus favorite for food and fellowship. An eclectic mix of Museum visitors, faculty members, students, and staff from across campus could always be found enjoying the café's lively lunch services, sophisticated cuisine, and lovely atmosphere. Some came for lunch and discovered the Museum; some came to visit the Carlos and discovered a great place to relax and enjoy a meal or cup of tea!
The improvements to Emory Village, along with the development of Emory Pointe, bring a wonderful variety of new dining options close to campus, many just steps away from the Museum. Due to this change in the food service environment, the Museum decided to close Caffè Antico. Its last day of service was July 31, 2013.
The café space is transitioning into a small, intimate dining room for luncheons and dinners for groups of twelve or less, beginning September 1, 2013. The rental fee will be modest, and you may select from Emory approved food vendors to cater your event. For more informal lunches, you may also have boxed delivered to the café.
