New BPI Scholars Program Accepting Applications
Applications are currently available for the inaugural BPI Scholars class set to launch in January 2014. BPI Scholars is a one-year professional development program for high-performing, early and mid-career Emory staff. Sponsored by their home unit, Scholars learn, develop, and apply project management, communication, analytical, and leadership skills. During the application process, Scholars will identify an opportunity for practice improvement in their current units; this improvement project becomes the focus of their work as a Scholar.
During the year-long program, Scholars remain in their current roles, with participation in the program representing a commitment to benefit both the employee and his or her home unit. The estimated time commitment for the Scholar is about four hours per week in addition to regular duties. Scholars also participate in coursework and attend a series of talks by Emory leadership on university management topics. More information regarding the program can be found at: http://bpi.emory.edu/FellowsAndScholars/index.html
Completed applications and sponsorship statements for the January 2014 class are due November 30, 2013. A second class will start in September 2014 and applications for that will be due in April 2014. |
