Sign Up!  There is no fee to join or form a team. Register online at www.JDRF.org and be sure to indicate “Emory” under team name. Your friends, family members, and neighbors are invited to be part of the Emory team, too.

Raise Money!  Tell your family, friends and neighbors about the walk and ask them to sponsor you by making a contribution to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation! Help the Emory team reach its goal of raising $15,000 for diabetes research. Don’t delay – start collecting pledges today!

Walk!  Have a great time at the walk with the Emory team and enjoy a day filled with entertainment, fun and food for walkers of all ages. Every Emory team member will receive a team t-shirt to wear with pride the day of the walk if they raise a minimum of $150!

Sign up to be a Team Captain at the Team Captain Breakfast:

When:  Thursday, September 3, 8:00 - 9:30 a.m.
Where:  1599 Clifton Road, Conference Room 5C
Breakfast will be served!

Team Captain duties include:

• Recruit 10-15 walkers who will strive to raise money for the American Heart Association ($150 goal per walker)
• Motivate, support and encourage your team of walkers
• Help organize fundraising activities for your team
• Attend the Emory University Team Captain Breakfast to learn more about being a team captain and other ways to have a successful Heart Walk team.
