COVID-19 Booster Attestation Due by Jan. 19
Emory University requires all students, faculty, and staff to be vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19, with exceptions only for those with approved medical or religious exemptions.
The deadline to get boosted and verify COVID-19 booster status is Wednesday, January 19, 2022. Those not eligible for the booster, per CDC guidelines, by January 19 must get boosted within two weeks of becoming eligible.
DO NOT upload your booster documentation to the HOME portal. |

Employees with symptoms or an exposure can test at the Northlake testing site, 4820 Briarcliff Rd NE, Atlanta GA 30345, open 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., Mon-Fri. You will need to call the Emory COVID-19 hotline at 404-71-COVID (404-712-6843) to schedule an appointment. Learn more about testing. |

COVID-19 Emory Paid Leave
As a reminder, Emory offers up to 3 weeks of COVID-19 Emory Paid Leave for those who are unable to work on campus or from home because of the pandemic. The policy includes leave for school closures related to COVID-19. Learn more about COVID Leave. |

Paid Parental Leave Expanded to Six Weeks
On January 1, 2022, the University expanded the paid parental leave benefit from three weeks to six weeks. Births and adoptions occurring on or after January 1, 2022 qualify for the six weeks of leave. Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) Returns
The Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) is a one-year, small group program that teaches you how to eat healthy, increase your physical activity and manage your stress in order to prevent or delay type 2 diabetes. This national program was developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Employees on Emory’s medical plan are eligible to receive up to $250 in medical plan incentives for participating in the DPP in 2022. To be eligible for the program, you must:
- Have a body mass index (BMI) of 25 or greater (for Asian Americans, 23 or greater), AND
- Have prediabetes diagnosed by a blood test, OR
- Have history of gestational diabetes, OR
- Screen positive for prediabetes using the American Diabetes Association risk test
The next cohort of classes begins in February 2022. Deadline to determine eligibility: January 31. Learn more. |

What's New for the Blomeyer Health Fitness Center in 2022
Blomeyer One is a new membership concept that focuses on one membership offering a hybrid model of services/programs available to Emory employees to keep them engaged regardless of where they sit (onsite + virtual).
