Summer College Internships
College students in the middle of their academic careers can gain valuable, hands-on experience with Emory University's summer college internship program.
About the Program
Emory University's summer college internship program lasts for ten weeks (June 6 – August 11, 2022), with an option for departments to extend it to twelve weeks (ending on August 25, 2022).
The program is open to:
- Rising sophomores, juniors and seniors in an undergraduate program at any 2-4 year college or university (students do not need to be from Emory University)
- Those in good academic standing
- Those willing to work a flexible schedule
- Those willing to commit to a 10-week program
- Those living in Georgia for the duration of the internship
- Those who are vaccinated for COIVD-19
The internship pays $15.00 per hour.
An optional Summer Intern Housing Program is available for students who need housing.
How to Apply
- Begin by setting up your online profile. Make sure to include a recent resume.
- Once set up, you can begin to apply. To find internship positions, search the keyword "College Intern." Depending on when you search, there may not yet be any positions posted; these are only posted once they are received from hiring managers.
- You can set up an alert to email you any time an internship position is posted. Use the keyword "College Intern" to set up your notifications.
If you are selected for an interview, you will be contacted by the hiring manager. The interview may either be conducted by phone, in-person or both.
If you are selected for an internship position, you will be contacted by Human Resources to initiate the new hire process.
Again, you must reside in Georgia or be living on campus during your internship.
To Hire an Intern
If you are a hiring manager at Emory University, we invite you to hire a summer intern.
Emory's Summer College Internship Program is managed by Emory Temporary Services.
The cost to departments is $19.00 per hour (interns will be paid $15.00 per hour). HR does not pay for the cost of the interns.
