Summer College Internships
College students in the middle of their academic careers can gain valuable, hands-on experience with Emory University's summer college internship program.
About the Program
Emory University’s summer college internship program offers a 10-week (June 5 to August 11, 2023) and 12-week (June 5 to August 25, 2023) option. The program is open to:
- Rising sophomores, juniors, seniors and graduate students enrolled at accredited colleges or universities
- Those in good academic standing
- Those willing to work flexible schedule
- Those willing to commit minimally to the 10-week program dates
- Those living in Georgia, and commutable to our campus, for the duration of the internship
The internship pay is $16.00 per hour for undergraduates and $18.50 per hour for graduate students.
An optional Summer Intern Housing Program is available for students who need housing.

To Hire an Intern
If you are a hiring manager at Emory University, we invite you to consider hiring a summer intern through the Emory Temporary Services (ETS) Internship Program. This year’s summer college internship program offers a 10-week (June 5 to August 11) and 12-week (June 5 to August 25) option. The deadline to request a summer intern (requisition created and approved) is Monday, May 1.
Steps:
- Open a requisition with the recruitment type of Emory Temporary Services (ETS).
- Choose Job code ETS99
- Enter ‘ETS Internship Program’ in the Reason for Temp field on the ETS Values tab.
- Choose Coral Martinez or Javarius Chandler as the Recruiter on your Requisition.
- Include any additional job description details.
- Once approved, we will begin to provide you with potential students to consider.
Departments must finalize their intern selections by May 12 to ensure the pre-employment will be completed in time for the June 5 program kick off. The ETS team will coordinate the orientation, including I9, card services and parking pass.
