About this Team

Workplace Culture and Belonging offers a range of programs, resources, and learning opportunities to support the entire Emory community in fostering a positive, inclusive workplace. Our team specializes in facilitating general enrollment courses and specialized training sessions for individual organizations, overseeing the Employee Resources Groups (ERGs) along with the Learning Team, and coordinating the leadership development program titled “Pathways to Inclusive Leadership.”

Meet our Team

Quinn Foster, Supervisor of Workplace Culture and Belonging (WCB)

Dr. Quinn Foster (they/them) serves as the Supervisor for Workplace Culture and Belonging, a team located within in Emory Human Resources. An Atlanta native, they completed their Doctor of Education in Learning, Leadership, and Organizational Development at the University of Georgia where their research centered on organizational change through supervisor development. Outside of work, Quinn is passionate about the outdoors – you can find them rock climbing, hiking, kayaking, and camping on any given weekend.

Kira Stopczynski, Coordinator of Workplace Culture and Belonging (WCB)

Kira’s experience at Emory began in 2022 with the Campus Services organization and has since transitioned to the Learning and Organizational Development department. She assists the WCB team with coordinating logistics for training courses, learning programs, data metrics, and communication resources.

General Enrollment Courses

Today, we have five unique generations each participating in the workplace. In this 90-minute training, we explore the unique strengths each generation brings, fostering collaboration and innovation. Through engaging discussions and practical insights, participants gain a profound understanding of generational differences and promoting mutual understanding. Equip yourself with tools to bridge generation gaps, enhance communication, and create a harmonious work environment where each age group contributes meaningfully.

Emerging research suggests that up to 20% of the population is neurodiverse. In this training, employees are introduced to the topic of neurodiversity and discuss strategies to understand, embrace, and uplift the unique strengths and experiences of neurodiverse people. Informed by the experiences of neurodiverse employees at Emory University, this training also offers participants insights on the role of all employees in creating an inclusive workplace for neurodivergent and neurotypical employees.

Creating a workplace where all employees feel psychologically safe requires an investment from everyone – individual contributors and managers alike. In this course, participants are introduced to the well-researched concept of “psychological safety” including the stages to creating safety, barriers which hinder safety, and strategies everyone can use to create a more supportive and welcoming workplace.

Leaders set the tone for organizational culture. Civil Treatment Workplace for Leaders (CTWL) equips you with the tools and strategies to build more compliant, respectful, and productive work environments by establishing and maintaining behavioral standards that reflect your organization's mission, vision, and values. Through CTWL, you'll develop practical skills to foster civility, address inappropriate conduct, and create accountability systems that promote positive workplace interactions. Whether you're a first-time supervisor or seasoned executive, this training provides actionable frameworks to enhance team dynamics, reduce organizational risk, and improve overall workplace morale.

Audience: Managers / Supervisors (any employee with supervisory responsibilities)

Every employee plays a vital role in creating a respectful and productive workplace culture. Civil Treatment Workplace for Employees (CTWE) uses an experiential learning model with realistic scenarios and practical tools to help you understand and embody behavioral standards aligned with your organization's mission and values. Through interactive training covering topics like harassment prevention, bystander intervention, speaking up about workplace issues, and professional communication, you'll gain the skills to contribute to a more inclusive and compliant work environment. This award-winning program goes beyond awareness to provide actionable strategies that foster lasting positive change in workplace interactions.
