Job Description
Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Research Administration Services (RAS) and fiscal leaders of schools, departments, or divisions served, manages, leads, and supervises staff performing pre- and post-award activities for the sponsored research portfolio for an assigned school, department, or division. Oversees the hiring, training, and supervision of all team members, including the assignment of goals and tasks, and the successful completion of the same. Works closely with Emory University's Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements to which grants and contracts are subject to and to confirm that all pre-award activities are handled accordingly. Interacts collaboratively with administrators within Emory University's Office of Grant and Contract Accounting (OGCA) to ensure all post-award activities are processed appropriately. Works actively to resolve conflicts between Principal Investigators (PIs) and team members promptly and satisfactorily. Provides consistent and standardized reports to leadership and stakeholders on a regular basis and ad hoc reports, as needed. Performs other relevant duties as required or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and seven years of experience in grants and contracts management, or related field. Master's degree is strongly preferred. Previous supervisory and management experience is required. A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
