As one of the nation's most beautiful college campuses, Emory is a great place to walk. Whether you work for Emory University or Emory Healthcare, you'll find walking routes, green spaces, and destinations that make it easy to incorporate movement into your day.
Healthy Emory Walking Groups
Our Well-being Champion network facilitates walking groups twice a year during the Physical Activity campaign (April 1 - May 31) and Social and Community campaign (September 1 - October 31). Join us for these events to get active, connect with colleagues, and boost your well-being.
To join a walking group, view the “Find a Walking Group” button below, choose the group you’d like to join, and email the listed contact person to get connected.

Campus Walking Tour
All employees are invited to join a campus walking tour led by the Health and Well-being team. Take an hour for yourself, lace up your walking shoes, and enjoy exploring the campus! Pre-registration is required, and you can sign up for a tour any time.

Whether you are participating in a walking meeting with a co-worker or just setting out on your own, Emory has several unique walking areas to enjoy:
Lullwater Preserve
Explore different walking routes within this 154-acre preserve with beautiful trees, green spaces and a lake. The preserve is also home to home to an English Tudor mansion where the university president lives.

The Tunnel
The tunnel between Emory University Hospital and the Emory Clinic is a great place to walk indoors if the weather is cold or rainy. The tunnel walls are decorated with Healthy Emory thematic murals which include wellness tips and information about outdoor activities throughout Georgia.

The Quad
Located in the heart of Emory's main campus, the Quad, a beautiful green space, provides a nice, easy walk location that is just within steps for many Emory University and Emory University Hospital employees.

Walking areas are located at many Emory Healthcare facilities including Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital.
