Social and Community (Healthy Emory Connect)

Did you know that solid social connections are vital for health and happiness? At Emory, we value our community, encouraging everyone to nurture relationships and spend quality time with loved ones.

Why Community?

Connecting to others is essential for mental, emotional, and physical health. Here's why:

  • Boosts Mental Health: Social connections reduce feelings of loneliness, anxiety, and depression, leading to greater emotional well-being.
  • Strengthens Immune System: Positive relationships and social interactions can boost your immune response, helping your body fend off illness.
  • Enhances Longevity: People with strong social ties tend to live longer, healthier lives.
  • Promotes a Sense of Belonging: Being part of a community provides support, purpose, and shared experiences that enrich your life.

Your well-being isn’t just about what you eat or how you exercise—it's also about the connections you make. Let’s prioritize relationships and create a supportive, thriving community together.

You can join as an individual, create a team, or join an existing team. Record your progress using Healthy Emory Connect (Sharecare) and earn a medical plan well-being incentive or reward!
