Wellness Champions

Emory's large network of wellness champions serve their individual departments and schools, helping to promote a healthy lifestyle to their co-workers and colleagues.

What Wellness Champions Do

  • Serve as a “go-to” person about wellness opportunities at Emory.
  • Assist others who want to learn more about wellness opportunities at Emory.
  • Help Emory launch, market and sustain new and existing wellness programming.
  • Motivate and encourage others to adopt and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Responsibilities

  • Serving as a champion for a minimum of one year.
  • Submitting a monthly report detailing wellness initiatives in your department/division.
  • Attending 2-3 in-person meetings per year.
  • Participating in a monthly conference call.
  • Participating in at least two programs/events annually.
  • Committing to share communications about current wellness initiatives.

Steps to Becoming a Champion

  • Complete a Wellness Champion application
  • Obtain supervisor approval form completed by your leader
  • Meet with a wellness team member for orientation
