Training for Staff

Understanding Flexible Work Arrangements in Today’s Workforce

Working flexibly means more than telecommuting. It includes a variety of different work arrangements that enable employees to have greater control over How, When, and Where they do their work. When done well, flexible work arrangements (FWA) benefit both employee and employer. This  online training is intended to provide an practical understanding of what is meant by flexible work arrangements, how job suitability and work performance factor into the approval of FWA, and how employees can achieve success in working flexibly. Consultation

Work-Life Specialists can meet individually with staff members who have questions about flexible work arrangements or who would like us to review a proposal to work flexibly.

Training for HR Professionals & Managers

Understanding & Managing Flexible Work Arrangements 

HR professionals and people managers at all levels at Emory are strongly encouraged to complete this training course.  In today’s modern workplace, it is essential that all those who hold HR or people management roles understand what is meant by working flexibly, how to support a flexible work culture and manage flexible work teams, and why this all matters at Emory. This online training provides practical education on these important matters.

A Work-Life Consultant can meet with managers or HR Reps or leaders to provide more information about workplace flexibility for departments, divisions or schools.
