Learn the signs for readiness, general laws around self-care, and ways to help keep your child safe as he or she grows and becomes more independent. Teaching Your Child Responsibility

Children can learn to become responsible adults. This webinar reviews the characteristics of a responsible child, from accountability to fulfilling obligations, and discusses the importance of effective feedback, appropriate rewards and other steps to raising a responsible child. It also explores the role of self-esteem in the process and the negative impact of using guilt and arbitrary rules. There is an emphasis on the parents' role in shaping responsible behavior.
