Mental Health Awareness Challenge
Participate in the May Mental Health Awareness Challenge, a month-long initiative that invites faculty and staff to strengthen their mental well-being through meaningful, practical activities while building awareness of available mental health resources. By participating, you’ll develop healthy habits, connect with a supportive community, and have the opportunity to earn prizes along the way.

Challenge Overview
The May Mental Health Awareness Challenge runs from May 1–29, 2026, inviting participants to complete activities that build awareness and strengthen practical mental health skills. Use the challenge checklist to track your progress each week as you explore tools and resources designed to support your well-being. By participating, you invest in yourself while helping foster a culture of openness and support across our university community—so take the first step and prioritize your mental well-being this May.
How to Participate
After registering, review the challenge checklist to explore all available activities, plan what you’ll complete each week, and track your progress along the way. Complete at least four activities to be eligible for the prize raffle. Starting May 29, you can submit the Challenge Checklist Form to report your participation, with all submissions due by June 5.
Challenge Activities

- Sign-up for the FSAP email listserv to receive weekly updates and tips. If you have already signed up, you will need to choose another activity.
- Schedule and complete a Well-being Check-in during the month of May. Even if you’ve completed one in past years, you’re encouraged to check in again—it's a valuable way to understand how you’re doing right now.
- Schedule and complete a free and confidential FSAP consultation to learn about FSAP and how we can help.
- Complete an online emotional well-being screening during the month of May. There is never a limit on how many times you can take a screening, but it can only be counted once as a completed activity in May. This service is confidential; participants will use the honor system when reporting.
- Participate in workshops/webinars during the month of May. Midweek Mindfulness Meditation, FSAP overviews, and the FAQs about FSAP webinars qualify as activities for the challenge.
