Behavioral Examples

To assist managers in completing performance evaluations, specific behavioral examples are provided for each performance competency. Behavioral examples are merely guidelines and are not meant to be:

  • All encompassing

  • A checklist

  • A replacement for a manager's judgment

Behavioral Examples

Most Emory University staff members are evaluated on eight performance competencies. These behavioral examples are provided for both managers and non-managers for each of the eight competencies.

Leader Behavioral Examples

A different competency model for performance management is used for all Emory University staff leaders who have strategy, change management, and related leadership-oriented responsibilities (mostly those who serve in a Director level position or above and who supervise others).
