Dennis James Dudley, 35 years

Tell us a little about the work you've done at Emory throughout your career.

I have been a service tech (Maintenance Mechanic) within Campus Services since I was hired at Emory. I’ve been working at the 1462 Clifton since September 5, 1988—35 years in one building! It was dental school back in those days!  

What are some of your favorite memories of your time at Emory?

My favorite memories are of the old Christmas parties we used to have. I enjoyed the parties hosted by Campus Services and the parties at 1462 with the many employees I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know over the years.  

Is there anything you miss from "back in the day"?

I love Emory and wouldn’t change a thing! 

Anything else you would like to share?

I’m grateful to Emory for all our benefits programs and the growth opportunities provided to employees.  Throughout my career, Emory has provided me with numerous opportunities for continuing education, earning certifications and diplomas along the way. I’ve also experienced a couple significant health issues during my career and each time, Emory helped me transition smoothly back to work. Special thanks to Employee Relations and Accessibility Services!
