Physical Activity (Healthy Emory Connect)

Join us for our fun annual physical activity campaign, which started in 2014 and has kept Emory employees active for years! This year, we're focusing on minutes of physical activity, instead of steps. The opportunity is open to all benefits-eligible employees, medically enrolled spouses, and pre-65 retirees.


You can join as an individual, create a team, or join an existing team. Record your progress using Healthy Emory Connect (Sharecare) and earn a medical plan well-being incentive or reward!

About the Campaign

Who is Eligible?

Physical Activity is open to all benefits-eligible employees, as well as spouses and Pre-65 retirees on an Emory medical plan.

When is it?

Physical Activity will run from April 1 – May 31, 2025.

What are the activities?

To earn your medical plan well-being incentive or be eligible for a reward, you must complete the Move More Challenge and read 2 articles, and watch 2 video. You can access these activities using Healthy Emory Connect (Sharecare).

READ THE MOVE MORE ARTICLES (APRIL 1 – MAY 31)

WATCH THE MOVE MORE VIDEOS (APRIL 1 – MAY 31)

  1. Move to Improve posture: Use these step-by-step guided exercises with certified trainer Andrea Peterson and unlock the secrets to better posture.
  2. Get moving with these 30-second workouts: Don't have time to workout? Use this 30 second workout idea to add more movement to your day.

You must read each article and watch each video in its entirety to receive credit.

COMPLETE THE MOVE MORE CHALLENGE (MAY 1 – MAY 31)

Track a total of 630 minutes of physical activity throughout the month of May. Sync your device to the Sharecare app to automatically track your activity. You can also enter your activity manually, in the Steps Tracker. View How to Link your Trackers.

How to Participate

Join the Move More challenge

  1. Create an account or sign into healthyemory.sharecare.com
  2. Select Achieve > Challenges, and then look for the Move More Challenge
  3. Select Join and start tracking your challenge activity on May 1, 2025

TRACKING YOUR PROGRESS

  1. Sign into healthyemory.sharecare.com on your web browser or open your Sharecare app
  2. Go to Achieve > Rewards > Healthy Emory Connect

Any completed activities will appear under the "Completed activities" heading and will have a green checkmark next to them.

Physical Activity Tasks

  1. Create an account or sign into healthyemory.sharecare.com
  2. Select Achieve
  3. Under the Rewards heading, look for Move More, then click the tile to open the screen and see available activities
  4. Select each of the following articles and videos:
  • 8 essential bodyweight exercises to build muscle and stay strong
  • 3 ways yoga can help you manage your weight
  • Move to improve posture
  • Get moving with these 30-second workouts

Incentives and Rewards

On the Medical Plan

If you're enrolled in an Emory medical plan, you can earn a $100 medical plan well-being incentive by completing the Move More Challenge, reading both articles, and watching both videos.

Not on the Medical Plan

If you are not enrolled in an Emory medical plan, complete the Move More Challenge, read both articles, and watch both videos to earn a raffle entry for a chance to win rewards.
