Sleep Better, Feel Better

Getting a good night’s sleep is an important part of living a healthy lifestyle, just like eating right and exercising regularly. Through the Sleep Better! Feel Better! Campaign, focus on your sleep, improve your mental and physical health, and earn extra points on Healthy Emory Connect.

About this Challenge


This program is open to all benefits-eligible employees, as well as spouses and Pre-65 retirees on an Emory medical plan.


The program takes place from October 1 – November 8, 2022.


In order to successfully complete the program, you must complete three out of the four activities (see chart below). All of these are accessed by using Healthy Emory Connect, Emory's platform and mobile app, powered by Sharecare.

Snooze Soundly ChallengeDid you know you it is recommended to get at least seven to nine hours of sleep each night? Join the Snooze Soundly Sleep Challenge and start making little changes in your sleep habits that could help you catch more ZZZ’s. After joining the challenge, update your sleep tracker daily. Aim to sleep at least seven to nine hours per night for at least 21 days

Improve Your Sleep Challenge

Did you know that most adults need between seven and nine hours of shut eye each night? Sleep is critical to maintaining your mental and physical health. This challenge will help you practice healthy sleep habits to help you catch more ZZZ’s each night. During the challenge, log into Healthy Emory Connect, powered by Sharecare, and answer the question: Did you practice healthy sleep habits today? Track your sleep for at least five of seven days during the month of October.

Fall Green Day Challenge

Track and earn at least 21 green days to complete the Fall Green Day Challenge. Plus, check your progress to see how you’re stacking up against other Emory participants!

October 8 – November 8

Watch the “Restful Sleep” video to help you enter a sound, deep sleep.

How do you participate?

If you have not already joined Healthy Emory Connect, you need to get that set up first (see instructions here). Once you've joined, follow these steps to participate in the 2022 Sleep Better! Feel Better! activities:

  1. Log in to Healthy Emory Connect.
  2. Click Sleep Better! Feel Better! and select each activity to view details.

To join the challenges:

  1. Select Achieve and then Challenges.
  2. Click Join Challenge to participate in Fall Green Day Challenge,Snooze Soundly Sleep Challenge or Improve Your Sleep Challenge.
